Now imagine that such transmitters would be used at many locations.
What would be the result?

I can't see 26 MHz DRM work properly for local broadcasting given the characteristics of the band.
I can only see these tests as an approximation of higher frequency tests for which no license can be obtained at the moment.

Hi,

I caught a glimpse of sound here at my loction around 1120 UTC. A lot of QSB, which is typical for Sporadic E. However, it is interesting to note, that you get decoded audio even if the S-Meter doesn't budge from zero.

I used 4 antennas: An EH-Antenna for 27 MHz, a 27 MHz Ground Plane Antenna, The 17 MHz Ferrite and the 16 meter Long Wire. The Long Wire gave the best results.

High level audio, but also high level audio noise floor.
Sounded like being relayed from FM.

Standing in Seelze for five minutes, then driving to Bad Oeynhausen via B441, A2. Fieldstrength simply is too low now for longer distances, no audio in the "valleys" near Bad Nenndorf.

Listened for a while with the DRMSWR for a change. But the signal decided to disappear before I had a chance to compare the decoding to Dream.

My first Es this year towards Duesseldorf. 50% sound with Dream during 37 minutes. The band might have been open before I discovered it.

Tested Morphy but there was no decoded audio with its telescopic antenna and the AC/DC adapter. The sub-screen showed SNR up to 18 dB :confused:

A gust of Solar wind caused 26 MHz to open up very briefly around 0920 UT this morning. Another whopping 4 minutes came around 0945 UT.

Here is a log about one hour long which I came across around 18 UTC. At the same time there were many German CB stations from the same region booming in here.

Just got the information that the DRM tx is on air again on 26045 kHz up to late May 2009.

Listening to the rhythm of the DRM, there was no modulation, only a carrier without a Station Label.

Have to check if it was my Perseus or the TX, which is still abt. 200 Hz to low.
