This digital transmission in telephone quality is ridiculous, has absolutely nothing to do with "near fm quality", is pure air pollution. :mad:
With these conditions (band, time, noise) AM would be more reliable and sound better.
If DW wants to improve this transmission why not transmit 10 kHz wide SSB with reduced carrier for proper synchronization?
This would sound much better and be even more reliable than AM!
...and at the moment they would certainly have more listeners who can decode that.

DW is running 11.6Khz and the decode is about 90%. I usually have a very difficult time decoving voice on this freq because of the higher encode rate.
This works better for me.

0200 GMT, 3995Khz, +/- 10db drm level, rf signal is 20+db

Why not get a license and transmit in 10 kHz wide USB on 3990kHz?
There would be much more listeners enjoying better audio quality.

I wasn't catching anything, and because I was assembling a Homebrew receiver and testing it at the same time, I'm not sure if the problem was mine or their. :confused:

By 17/09/2007 21:00 I was receiving loud and clear.

A 13 hours 15 minutes long (unattended from 2030 UTC) log with a weak segment 0045 - 0105 UTC, same as can be seen in Mitajohn's log. Between 03 and 05 UTC there was no (?) signal at all.

There was a change of Bitrate from 11.56 kbps to 14.56 kbps at 1800 UTC and then to 17.10 kbps at 2000 UTC.

@Mitajohn: There is no break to be seen in the log around 2200 UTC if I zoom it in; suppose the B07 started today? And that explains the break at 03 UTC :confused:
Anyway, we'll see how things look tonight.

The results from 18:00 to 22:00 were from Skelton TX site not Sines as per Schedule B 07. Am I right ?
