Sony ICF-SW100/ ICF- SW1

Hi all,
does anybody know how to modify an SONY ICF-SW100 for DRM? All hints welcome.

Hi Daniel,
it´s not worth trying with the SW100, SNR is not good enough with this radio.

Tnx Simone for the info. I am just looking for a very small receiver for DRM, which has no weight and no size ;-). I take my SW100 normally always to my handluggage, when i travel (which happens quite often). For AM overseas it works quite good.
So i will look for another small piece.

we had a thread about how to modify a Sony ICF- SW1 about 2 years ago, unfortunately it is not available anymore. As there is still interest in modifying this receiver, I have written down this

Hi all,
just some additional information. Currently you get the SW1 for quite reasonable prices e.g. ebay (45-60E). However they most have the known audio problem with the integrated speaker. Have a look at

for a detailed description for fixing this problem.
It took me about 1 hour for fixing this problem (the time to ride my bicycle to the shop, where i got the caps, not included) plus the DRM modification (with the remote help of Simone ;-).
