This QRG will be on air from 16:00 to 17:59 UTC
Thanks in advance for your reports.
Not much fun with this frequency. Faded out too early. In winter, we will receive nothing from this frequency.

Hi all,
First report on 12080 from my area. A very good result until 17H47 when signal faded out, then no decoding. After a couple of minutes a carrier appeared at the centre or the spectrum. See log.

As with everybody else, signal faded out quite early and already showed deep short fade-outs before.

Hi all,
I started the log a bit late a with strong signal and some fading. The reception last for about 40 mins then signal faded out. Look at the log file with the comparison of the log on 30 Oct.

Today I I readjusted this TX for better SNR, and I was capable to get more 8 dBs SNR in the reference receiver. The propagation is very bad, but we can do nothing about this problem. We are near of the "zero ground" to the propagation 11 years cycle, and next the propagation go up. This is the best test for DRM under low propagation conditions.

It didn't take long for the propagation conditions to fade out after I had tuned in.

Driving north on the A3 south of Cologne:
Conditions were strange today. First, signal was strong, then it looked as if it would fade out completely, but it came back a few minutes later for a while until it disappeared completely all of a sudden as if transmission had ended (at the end of my log).
Stereo at this low bitrate produces a very unnatural sound and should better be avoided altogether.

At the beginning of my logging period, the signal showed fast fading and when it faded, then there was interference as well. After a while, it gained strength considerably and it also became more stable.

Hi all,
A strong signal with fading brought about an excellent result, until interference started. DRM is very sensitive to interference!

Hi all,
find attached a log from KL/Malaysia for this frequency. It is up to now the only frequency where i could detect a DRM signal here. Even some audio.

Not so good here but I suffer from fast fading which my receiver with it's limited AGC range cannot compensate. I also suspect a bit of second order (harmonic) distortion from 6 MHz signals on my receiver. Guess, I will have to build a preselector some day.

Hi all,
Strong signal and fading, as yesterday, but today there were also strong co-channel interference (VoA) plus (Radio Syria) at 12085 after 17H45. All these result to the attached log.

Hi all.
A very good result until interference started. I continued logging for a while waiting for a change but the signal degraded too much and so I stopped the log. I don't know what caused the dropout at 16H31.

After tune in 12080Khz and log 115min. very good signal .
CDa of 98% and most of time from my 20Cm antenna.
I switch over to 10Mhz gama tuned 8m vertical for test.
My 20CM long antenna is on the tabel on my altan .

I could see an on-channel carrier during weaker moments, the WMER plot also showed a dip in the centre.

At first fine, then around 3 minutes later than yesterday the conditions just went dead... Watching the Ionogram from Spain and you can see the MUF for 1500 km decreasing from 12 MHz to 8 MHz within 10 minutes or so.

Hi all,
The log started with a signal at ~55 dBuV, in the middle of the log the signal hardly reached ~24 dBuV. A very good result though. 15 mins before the transmission end, strong QRM appeared and killed DRM reception.

A very good result for 50 mins then the signal weakened and lost.

The MUF did not decrease as quickly today as it did yesterday so it was possible to hear the complete transmission. However, at 1723 UTC there was either a TX break (the signal disappeared totally for a short while) or a propagation drop-out. :confused:
In fact, after this break, whatever it was, the signal never regained the quality it had before the break. The decoded audio was sufficient to follow the entire broadcast today.

Oops, a late start, but the fun was soon to come to an end anyway. At 1650 UT the signal strength dropped rapidly, and if I am not mistaken, the transmitter was shut down just before 17 UT.

But it is doing fantastic despite the conditions at the moment. A 50 minutes log. Perfect.
Today the conditions worsened very quickly just around 1630 UTC and the rest was more or less silence until QRT.

A very good to nearly excellent result.
Looks the same as my previous report. At 1630 UTC the signal disappeared into nothing! Traces of DRM still visible in Dream at 1658 UTC.
The signal suffered a weak period around 1635 UTC but picked up again.

Today the 12 MHz band transmission made it up until the end. Good reception despite rather bad conditions on many bands.

Last and best log this year !!! Unbelievable absolute stabile DRM propagation ,only slow QSB from S8 to S9+30db !!!!
