find attached my log for the whole transmission period. In the beginning of the transmssion there were some problems with audio (not caused by SNR). Label switched several times to "P3S" (or something like that if i remember right) and no audio. From 15h00 to 15h30 there was an enoying "gong" repeated every 5 s in the background resulting in a "boycott" of the audio from my side ;-).
The last hour the SNR got quite bad and almost no audio.

after a long time, I tried the "strange 9Mhz from Rampisham in Franfurt" transmission. Very strong signal S9+30dB. Just a weak period around 16:45 when a AM signal looked out of the DRM noise.

like on BBC WS /7320 kHz the "exploding spectrum" problem ocured also on this transmission, causing the big dropout at 1645-1650 when it happened quite frequently, the small dips I assume due to changing antennas as usual (also a configuration problem at the start), otherwise quite good results, see attachment

No audio at the time of my test, 15:25 UTC. But there was a strong carrier, on the centre frequency, which destroyed the DRM reception.

Hi all,
This is a partially unattended reception of VT Digital. After the first 30 mins the signal got quite strong, SNR increased enough and got sound, as seen in the log.

I observed some drop outs despite a high SNR today.
The reason can be seen in the Water Input Spectrum.
It looks like a fence what the DRM modulator produced occasionally.

a perfect first half hour, not sure what caused the problems later.
Scheduled programming was not available today. Great audio quality on the emergency music that was played instead, showing that the audio quality of the current broadcasts on VT digital is limited by the audio feeds and not by the DRM configuration.

RNZI/ ABC were back with their normal program today, good reception using the DWT, about 1min after the usual short break the signal disappeared again for some more seconds, so the dip in the graph is deeper than usual.

It looked as if the TX was perhaps being retuned during that period, because there was a strong carrier instead of the DRM signal.

here are yesterdays results recorded in Leipzig/ Germany, strong signal and good results some dropouts due to thunderstorms, switching at 1600 was longer than usual (also carrier for some time), later severe problems with the exploding spectrum at 1647- 1652 causing the other big dropout, see attachment

Tried to tune in to the Korean Service here in English just for fun, but the fun was spoiled by AM on the same frequency. Perhaps Simone could get a steam-roller out to flatten out the AM ;) - hi!
My jpeg shows the problem with the co-channel AM. Kills the DRM entirely.

A reception-report with drop-outs for 9770 kHz.
Looks like theFrankfurt coverage hole is back. Very strong signal in the first part and very weak in the second part with strong co-channel and +5khz interference from AM stations. But listening was also in the second part mostly good.

Just a tentative from here. Too much fading, drop-outs, caused by local interference and, well, these transmissions from the UK have never been well received here. Not the right frequency at this time of the day. 7320 is currently perfect, and all day, and even better than during the winter season.

Results from yesterday received in Leipzig using the Degen DE31 antenna indoors, some interference from my laptopīs PSU but OK for listening most of the time, the graph from FhG SWR looks worse as always with UEP.
@ aru: As you are interested in the journaline service, which did not work, I attach an older example, it also contained a schedule of the VT digital transmissions.
Pretty good results again today using the DWT/longwire.

1400-1700 9770 kHz

A signal up to 40dBuV with continual carrier interuptions and QRM at the right edge of DRM spectrum gave the attached result. The sound from the game was good.

The 9770 was plagued with interruptions in the beginning. Here is the (unattended) log:

Strong signal but many interruptions in transmission, later also longer breaks on 9770 kHz, no signal after 1524. Interesting to see Mode A being used which worked great with a short IR, also better audio quality and wider audio bandwidth than on the Asian broadcasters on Fridays (which are probably limited by the audio feed).
Good reception also with the Roberts MP40 with the built-in antenna indoors.

Not getting anything on 9795 at the moment here in NW London.
Strong signal, good reception, however there was the infamous "exploding" spectrum at 13:33UTC.
@rlogue: You cannot expect to get a signal from Rampisham in London on this frequency. You are a bit too close to the transmitter.
